Experiencing Cough, stuffed Nose And Stomach Discomfort
Hi, My daughter has been on Montair and levolin (2.5 ml)and mucolite (2.5 ml) and night Allegra (5 ml)for last two weeks as she was having a bad cough on,y during nights and extremely stuffed nose at night and mornings.as she seemed better I stopped the Allegra and she seemed to experience some stomach discomfit every time I gave her Allegra .but she has started a stunning nose and cough so I've been told to give her tminic 5 ml along with levolin and mucolite twice daily. Kindly advise
I would advise you to keep her head end elevated while sleeping. Let her sleep either on left side or right side. If she wants to sleep on her back..then keep the head elevated on two pillows or so.Cough is generally more at night because while lying down all the secretions from the nose go down to the throat (post nasal drip) and cause the irritating cough.
During the day, do steam inhalation 3 times a day. Do so very carefully as it is hot steam ...Please be careful while doing it.
Give her warm water to drink at regular intervals.
You can also give her a teaspoon of honey mixed with a pinch of pepper powder.
Hope this helps.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
Wishing your child a speedy recovery.
