Removed nuvaring beginning of 2nd week of cycle (3months using it) at around 3pm. Had unprotective sex at around 12am/1. Never put nuvaring back in place. Two days later experience bleeding, not spotting but resembling a period and some cramps. My period isn't due until a week and a half from now. Can I be pregnant?
While you can't be certain until you check a pregnancy test at the time of your usual menses, however if the only unprotected intercourse was that one time when you removed the ring after three years of regular use and two weeks of use in the current cycle, you will likely get away with it. You bled early because you removed the usual source of hormones early, the ring. It will take a cycle or two to go back to your usual non ring pattern. By the way, the ring does not need to be removed before intercourse. Your partner will not know that it is there.
