Experiencing Pain In My Tailbone And Have Lots Of Complications Including Neuropathy

I have had type 1 diabetes for 45 years. Have had acute pain in my tailbone (the tip of it) when I sit down and especially upon standing, and even sometimes lying in bed on my back at night. I have had this for two years and use a wedge to sit on when it is really acting up. What should I do? Also, I have a lot of complications from diabetes, including neuropathy. Is this considered a common problem in t1 diabetes?

Dear sir

It is uncommon that peripheral neuropathy cause these kind of pain in the tail bone, certainly it might be associated with
1. Disc bulging
2. Disc herneation
3. Mono radiculopathies.
4. Sciatic nerve pain.

Definately an MRI scan of the lumbar disc will be helpful. But still the corner stone of management depends upon the control of diabetes and hypertension.

Pregabalin and methylcobalamine once a day in the night will help to relieve the pain .

Thanks
