Experiencing Sharp Ear Pain
I barely rubbed my eardrum with a q tip this morning and now my entire ear is throbbing and I feel a sharp pain every time I tighten the muscle in my ear... I don t think I ruptured my ear drum because I went in very slowly with the q tip and rubbed off a little bit of wax that I felt was inhibiting my hearing at the time, I didn t jab it or anything. I know not to use q tips I never will again after this experience...

hello,thanks for your query, you might have injured external auditory canal skin which is very fragile and sensitive. u can start wax solvents and pain killers course after inspection of ent surgeon. mean time not to put water during bath. for severe pain tab. brufen400mg twice daily can be taken.all the best. take care.
