Experiencing Stabbing Pain Under My Left Breast On Rib Cage

I am currently taking ranatidine for acid reflux and about 6 months ago got over an infection of camplobacter. I have been having at least 2 bowel movements a day which I usually just have one and now I am having a sharp stabbing pain all day that comes and goes under left breast on rib cage.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The pain can be referred from the intestine coil twisting or else related to the abdomen infection or swelling spleen with secondary pain under left breast.

Deep breathing exercises, postural adjustments and analgesic with PPI will help greatly, later on, if required consult your PCP otherwise not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
