Explain Typhi H Negative And Typhi O Positive On Typhoid Results
good day doctor l just got my typhoid results with s.typhi H negative and typhi O positive 1:80 does that mean l am suffering from typhoid and also mostly importantly can that disqualify me for a job that wants a NEGATIVE typhoid candidate??? pliz help worried prospective candidate

No,you are not suffering from typhoid fever. Widal test is negative in your case.
Antibodies titre O or H greater than or equal to 1: 160 is considered positive.
You have typhi O 1:80 and this is negative value.
However four fold increase in titre is considered confirmatory.
Typhoid fever is not the criteria for exclusion in job.
