Facial White Patch, Used Momate Cream And Eumosome Cream, No Change. Reason?
Hi, I have a small white patch on my face since a month now... I have visited a dermatologist who prescribed " Momate Cream " ( Mometasone Furoate Cream) . I applied this cream for 15 days .. but found no change in my condition. One of the doctors told me its a sunburn and the other told that its either because of dandruff or a fungal infection. I tried another cream ( Eumosome Cream) for another 15 days. .... But i havent found any remarkable change..
Hi, a thanks for writing to us. These hypopigmented spots could be of pityriasis alba( type of eczema), previtilogo or pityriasis versicolor( unlikely if having single lesion). Sometimes pityriasis versicolor too may occur over face( but other common areas of involvement should be ruled out first.) P versicolor is a fungal infection and it presents as small areas of white discoloration around hair follicle that may coalesce to form bigger lesions.
usually a combination of mild steroid like hydrocortisone and tacrolimus gives results in such conditions. I would advise you to meet a qualified dermatologist to assess the spots and advise accordingly. Hope this helped.
Hi, it appears to be a fungal infection, or may be due to the defeciency of the vitamins. It is to be treated systematically, and locally also. The dermatologist would have been mistaken it to be some thing else.consult another dermatologist for diagnosis. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and proteine rich foods. Thank you.
