Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Firstly, as you are married and have one sexual partner coupled with your presentation, it appears as though you could be suffering from a urinary tract infection (UTI). I understand your doctor has ruled this out with the help of a simple urine analysis, but more frequently than not, a urine analysis does not report an accurate result. Which is why I would request you to re-visit your doctor and request for a urine culture and sensitivity examination, which would provide more accurate information.

If this investigation reports a positive result, then depending on the type of infection-causing organism, you can be treated with complete recovery within 5-7 days time.

But, if this investigation also reports a negative result, then you should consider getting screened for all sexually transmitted infections. If sexually transmitted infections are being considered, then I would request your husband to visit a doctor and get examined as well.

Of course you know, that in either case, all forms of sexual contact is restricted till at least 7 days after completion of therapy. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
