Dear Rajeev,
From your question it seems that you must have pulled your abdominal muscles while doing exercise.
Do not do exercise with heavy weight.
Do warm up exercises before starting exercise. Build your stamina slowly. Start with only five minutes daily and slowly increase the duration by one to two minutes after every three or four days.
Take hot water fomentation.
If pain is severe take analgesic like combiflam.

Hello Raj,

Thank you for our post.
From your description your muscles have been at rest for a while and they are simply not use to exercises. When you restarted exercises you started straining the musculoskeletal system and your nerves are hyper exited while muscles begin to contract and relax more than usual. This causes body chemicals to be abnormally secreted and accumulation can cause pain in any cavities be it synovial, peritoneal, pleural etc. Muscle elasticity depends very strongly on the degree of previous stress it has been enduring. Your abdominal muscles are not exempted from this and now are painful because of the stress they have gone through and now can only manifest with pain.
Now enough of the science behind your problem, how can you solve this by continuous exercises until your muscles can re-adapt. Use of pain killers or muscle relaxants like miorel could be of additional benefit to your system while you continue exercising.
In the other hand, it is also possible the exercise could have provoked abnormal bowel movement and subsequently irritable bowel syndrome. If this pain persist after continuous exercise i suggest you pay a visit to a gastroenterologist.

Thank you and hope this helps
