Hi hnixon42,
I have gone through your question , overactive thyroid or
hyperthyroidism may show symptoms similar to those you stated above , but with out live examination and medical history it would not be suitable to come to any conclusion.
Since , hyperthyroidism also does show various others symptoms (which i am mentioning below ) , i would like you to go through them and if you are experiencing many of such other symptoms , i would recommend you to consult nearst General physician immediately , and at most cases these issues come under control hence , you need not worry.
the major symptoms of hyperthyroidism include :
1) hyperactivity
2)mood swings such as
anxiety, irritability and nervousness
3)difficulty sleeping (
insomnia)
4)feeling tired all the time (
fatigue)
5)muscle weakness
6)needing to pass stools (faeces or 'poo') or urine frequently
7)diarrhoea
8)unexplained or unexpected
weight loss, despite having an increased appetite (though in a small number of cases the increase in appetite can lead to weight gain)
9)very infrequent or light periods, or periods stopping altogether
I wish you get well Soon
