Feeling Like Stuff Draining Down The Back Of Throat, Cough A Lot. What Is Causing This?
For a little while now I have been feeling like there is stuff draining down the back of my throat I cough alot trying to get it up but it hasnt went away. I have had alot of allergy problems in the past but not sure if that is what is causing this.I have taken over the counter allergy medicines and cold medicines but those are not working. I cannot afford to go to the doctor . what else should I try? or what might be the problem?
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
I feel that is post nasal drip. This happens in allergic rhinitis, common cold etc. First you should be properly examined to identify the cause of your problem. Further treatment depends on the cause. If say allergic rhinitis is identified as the cause then your doctor will prescribe antihistaminics. If the problem is too severe then preventor therapy may help.
