Feeling Of Pill Stuck In Throat. Possiblity Of Pill Going Down The Windpipe Instead?
How possible is it for a pill to go down the windpipe instead of the esophagus when swallowing it? I've swallowed a pill the night before and it seems stuck in my throat. My Throat still feels as though something is stuck there 10 hours after i took the pill. Wondering if the pill could have gone into my windpipe instead?
it's very unlikely that the pill has gone into your windpipe , so I hope you can stop worrying . any foreign body , even water if it goes into the windpipe would induce violent bouts of coughing , breathless etc . there is a possibility that the tablet can be stuck in your throat , so I would ask you to meet an ENT. and possibly undergo a endoscopic examination of your throat .
I hope this clear your query ,
do write in if you need any more clarifications
