Feeling The Smell During Fever, Stomach And Chest Burning Sensation, Dry Lip And Throat. Treatment?
Hello Doctor! my problem is, I feel the smell that used to occur during the high fever from inside my body. Stomach & chest is also feeling burning sense. Due to this my throat and lip is dry. Most of the time feel thirsty but even after drinking water it felt the same. Some how day time is ok but night time it gives restless and can not sleep properly. But in-spite of all these it's normal outside my body. I had consulted with local physician but he could not give the reason. What will be the cause and what I need to do.
Having bad smells (of inner body parts) during fever indicates olfactory hallucination. Olfactory hallucination is the phenomenon of smelling odors that aren't really present. The most common odors are unpleasant smells such as rotting flesh, vomit, urine, feces, smoke, or almonds.
Apart from that other symptoms like lack of sleep, restlessness, dry mouth and increase thirst indicate presence of anxiety.
This kind of clinical picture can occur in organic psychosis, depression or anxiety. It is better to get evaluated by psychiatrist to find the cause of current suffering and for treatment
Wish you good health and all the best.
