Feels Like A Tight Band Across The Head From Ear To Ear Via The Arched Base Of Skull. What Could This Be ?

year 2007 ran backwards into right angle steal bar. I have problems ever since. at times it's feels like I have a tight band across my head from ear to ear and from the back of ear to ear via the arched base of the skull. I still seek medical advice but get nowhere, it seems the problem gets put in the to hard basket. Thanks kindly AAAAA.

Hi,
In your case the trauma to head is very old.It is unlikely to produce symptoms so late.So it must be just a coincidence that the two things happened at the same time.The description of the headache suggests tension headache wherein there is tension of the muscles.This is a benign condition.Thats why this being put into the hard basket repeatedly.But I do understand the anxiety and the trouble that it is causing you.To be on the safer side ,CT scan brain may be done to rule out major abnormality.If tension headache is confirmed then intermittent use of analgesics will be prescribed.
