Fell On The Ice Landed On My Left Hip. There Was Barely Any Bruising But The Bone/joint Is Still Really Sore.
Fell on the ice a week ago landed on my left hip. There was barely any bruising but the bone/joint is still really sore . I nlotice the pain most while sitting with any pressure on that side and when I get up from a sitting position. Crossing my legs either way is also painful. Should I be getting an xray or does the area just need time to heal from the trauma ?
Hi,
I advise you to get bed rest till you get an Xray done and visit an orthopaedician. If you are finding difficulty in walking, please get it done quickly. The causes of pain while sitting could vary from something as mild as a coccygeal (tail bone) fracture to a major hip fracture depending on your age. Since I cant examine you personally, i recommend you to visit an orthopaedician at the earliest.
