Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my daughter is 32 weeks pregnant with her second daughter. Her last two ultrasounds showed the fetus to have sl enlarged brain ventricle . She goes for another ultrasound on Monday. The first one was 9.2 the second ultrasound was 10.6. Her doctor said not to worry. Do you think there is a cause for major concern? We are worried sick with no real answers. Thanks, Rosemary
Do not worry.
Worry of the mother will reflect on the fetal growth and maturity.
First of all the same has to be confirmed by a ultrasound cranium post delivery also.
So many times we in our routine practice come across abnormalities in fetal ultrasound and the baby being normal after birth. This is routinely seen in our practice.
So i request you to not to worry.
