My 2 year old has had a 102 degree fever plus since thursday eve, complaining of stomach ace and sensitive eyes.. Should I take her in or worried abt more than flu symptoms?
Dear Kameron, Thanks for the question. Most cases of flue at your daughter's age will resolve with minimal treatment. The burning of the eyes and stomach ache are part of the flue symptomatology along with raised body temperature. You may consider cooling down her body by bathing her, placing ice packs(but with due care) or placing a wet handkerchief on her forehead. She might also require paracetamol to be taken orally and symptomatic relief from any other aches and pains for which you should consult your paediatrician.
