Fibrolinear Densities In The Lungs Found In The Chest X-ray. Blunted Costophrenic Sulcus And Plural Thickness. What Does This Mean?
hi..according to my chest xray result, there are fibrolinear densities in the right upper lung field. The heart is not enlarged. The trachea is midline. The hemidiaphragms and right costophrenic sulcus are intact. The left costophrenic sulcus is blunted. Impression: suspicious densities, tight and apico-lordotic view is suggested and pleural thickening, left
Your xray findings are suggestive of some old healed lesion probably a tubercular one.
you can go for apicolordotic view for making rt density more clear. costophrenic sulcus blunting either represent fluid collection or pleural fibrosis....you can confirm the fluid by ultrasonography.
if further investigation reveals something you will be directed for further work up accordingly...
best wishes

Hello,
Most likely and commonest cause of such findings on chest xray is tuberculosis in past which might have been noticed or might have gone unnoticed.
