Fibromatosis Aggressive, Breathing With Ventilator. Accurate Prognosis?
hello my daughter was given 3-6 months to live she has fibramatosis aggressive, some attached to her lung , ribs pressing onto her lungs and a bent windpipe from operations. She is on a ventilator all night some of day but some days seems fine, cant walk far breathing is hard without ventilation. Are prognosis accurate usually and will it be a slow decline rather than sudden
The prognosis looks bad sir as the ventilator requirement is constant. She cant walk as you say and the ribs are pressing onto the lungs. A good prognostic marker would be her saturation and the oxygen content checked by areterial blood gases. If the co2 is high then the prognosis becomes more grave I am really sorry as i cant help much from here
