Fibromyalgia, Possible Autoimmune Disorder. On Vicodin. What Are The Side Effects?

Hello,
I am wondering about pain management programs. My primary doctor has had me on Vicodin for 2 yrs for Fibromayalgia (and maybe possibly some autoimmune disorder) and he now said that he will not renew it. I have to go see a pain specialist. What am i supposed to do until then. Even when I get to this new doctor I have to start all over and if I ask for the medication I was on, I will sound like a drug addict? I have never been through this before and am also nervous because I have read alot about with drawl side effects. Will this be another several years of constant pain before figuring out what is wrong with me?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Vicodin is a common pain killer and the mildest one for the pain control. This can cause a decreased response after a continued use. It is best to attend a pain management clinic.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
