Fistula Near Rectum, Unable To Operate, Seton Surgery Done. MRI Or Confirmatory Surgery Required?
dear doctor my father is having fistula deep down near his rectum surgeon couldnt operate it as it was deep so he put seton...now seton treatment is on and surgeon wants other surgeory just to assure if fistula is now visible or not ...to avoid this confirmation surgeory can we go for MRI ...21 days have passed after his seton surgery
normally one needs to see the case personally to decide what should be done next. MRI does help on telling the details but again diagnostic operation would be more DETAILED and can be therapeutic also. this issue has to be decided by your fathers doctor who has been seeing him personally.
