Fixed My Abscessed Tooth. Was On Clindamycin. Now Have Headaches, Migraines, Nausea. Had Unprotected Sex. Related?

I recently had a abscessed tooth fixed that was pretty severe with a whole month of taking clindamycin. two days after having my tooth fixed I started expierencing severe headaches, pretty much migraines, and nausea at the end of my 12 hour shift which goes from 7 am to 7pm. This lasted for about two days. I was ovulating last week and had unprotected sex, I took a pregnancy test on sat, which came back negative. Im still expierencing the severe migraines( which is causing sensitivty to light, noise) heartburn and nausea. I also just recently cut my welbutrin dose in half from 300 to 150, so I know it could be a multitude of different things. Just curious....

hello friend
your symptoms does not reflect any problem related to tooth, but still you can revisit your dentist for a routine check up..
please visit a general practitioner for migraine relief.. you can take ergotamine , an antimigraine drug till then.. but you should be prescribed with prophylactic drugs of migraine up to 6 months to help in your headache...
hope it helps

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Severe headaches, migraines, and nausea are not related to fixing the crown.

But definitely, you can revisit your dentist get the high points on crown examined as a follow up procedure, after crown fixing.

These high points causes mild discomfort, upon crown fixing.

Once it is ruled out,you can very well visit your gynecologist and inquire about pregnancy tests.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Take care.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Have you got the abscess drained prior to fixing tooth?

The tooth has to be root canal treated and abscess has to be drained completely prior to placing a fixed prosthesis.

Take antigastric tablets prior to administration of antibiotics.

Take rest and avoid anxiety.

If symptoms persists for more than 7 days, please do visit your dentist.

Take care.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

The above symptoms which are mentioned i suppose are not related to the abscessed tooth, but still for the peace of mind a thorough clinical checkup can be done.

Also get the checkup done for migranes and if required start with the medications.
You can take an antacid along with the antibiotics and analgesics prescribed to you.

Hope you find this as helpful,

Regards.

hello
thank you for sharing your concern in HCM
heartburn, nausia can be symptoms of pregnancy but as you have ruled out this , watch on your diet , if it is loaded with spicy food and irregular timings of eating and sleeping can result in it.
still i would advice you to repete pregnancy test after few days
migraine, heartburn are not related to tooth fixing , kindly visit a general practitioner for it.
meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene.
take light diet including milk for few days
take care
for any doubt write us back
regards
