Flu, Fever, Kidney Pain, Sore Throat, Cough, Z-pack And Nasonex, Swollen Calves, Leg Muscle Pain

I had flu with 103.5 fever, kidney aches, sore throat and cough. It lasted 10 days. I was prescribed a z-pack and Nasonex . This is the third week and I stil have a low grade fever and have developed swollen calves and leg muscle pain. I am wondering what to do since my doctor is baffled and suggested I see a rheumatologist . I don t have any joint pain though.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have are likely to be due to a generalized viral infection. Taking mild anti inflammatory pain killer will help in controlling these.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
