Fluid Behind Eardrum, Not Draining. Taking Amoxicillin. Advice?
I have been on antibiotics for over two weeks now.. I have fluid behind my ear drum that isn't draining. I am on APO-Amoxicillin 500/125 mg and now a nasal spray.. The problem appears to be the fluid not draining.. How will the antibiotics be helping that.. That will be just for the infection.. I am just unsure how the fluid is going to drain?
Hi, Thanks for contacting HCM You have Fluid behind your ear drum that isn't draining. On Amoxicillin 500/125 mg and a nasal spray. This most probably suggests that you have secretory otitis media. In Secretory otitis media there is no role of antibiotic. Please consult the ENT spcialist for better diagnosis and treatment.
