Foreskin Of Circumcised Penis Had White Build Up, Redness. Used Desitin And Bacitracin. What Else Will Help?

My 11/2 year old toddler went to the pediatrician today because he was having an issue with the foreskin on his penis.. He had a buildup of white stuff under the foreskin. FYI he is curcumsized. The doctor pulled his forskin back far, to far I think but anyway she got all the white out. His penis was red almost raw an irritated for obvious reasons... My question is she told me to pull down his foreskinfor the next 2weeks and put desitin in the raw area so that the skin won't stick...it is painful for my son and it just doesn't sound right to me, I think I should be using bacitracin.. What are your thoughts. Thank you

The white thing removed is inspissated Smegma. It leads to sterile inflammation causing inflammation of glans and prepuce. To prevent adhesion from occurring steroid ointment is used. I routinely use a mixture of soframycin and Betnovate ointment.
Keep the baby in tub containing Luke warm water with 4 spoon of table salt added, pull back prepuce clean it and replace it back. Give bath, dry the baby and pull back the skin and apply the above mixture.
It has helped all my patients and hope the same for your kid.
