Foul Tastes From Mouth, Nose With Drain Into Throat After Tri Orbit Fracture And Surgery. What Is The Treatment?

Recently had tri orbit fracture, have a titanium plate protruding into gums. I was getting very foul tastes coming from area weeks following surgery. Doctor checked for infection and put me on anti biotic. It's been three months since experiencing but now am getting similar "taste" in nose including a drain into throat. Any ideas on how to treat or possible cause?

Your symptoms may be due to infected Titanium plate causing the infection spreading to paranasal sinus and draining into nose and throat. If the antibiotics do not resolve the condition the plate and screws may need to be removed. Before this, proper X-rays or CT scan may be needed as is culture sensitivity test of the pus.
