Frequent Bowel Movements After Eating. Diagnosed With Duodenal Ulcer In The Past. Taking Lansaprol. Itchy Anus. Advice?

I have been going to the toilet for a poo on average 6 times a day - after I've eaten food. It's been going on about 4 weeks - I moved house about then - I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer 4 years ago which I take lansaprol for. I've been fine on that but the last 4 weeks ive constantly been on the loo. I'm exhausted and tired all the time. My stomach isn't bloated and I haven't lost any weight. I also don't have any blood in my poo. My anus though is extremely itchy most of the time. Please help.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You have history of duodenal ulcer that is acid peptic disorder. Your frequent bowel movement may be related to some kind of infection or functional disorder of GIT.
Your itching around anus also may be due to infection or worms in the intestine and possibility of local pathology like Hemorrhoids is there.A surgeon will do internal examination and proctoscopy to see the pathology.
You should see a Gastroenterologist and go for thorough medical check up with Complete blood count,Stool R&M,test for H. Pylori, upper GI endoscopy and if necessary colonoscopy to know the exact cause and treatment depends on cause.
Are you taking Lansoprazole continuously it can predispose to GI infection.
Exhaustion is due to loss of fluid and electrolytes including potassium, so take oral rehydration fluid and potassium by coconut water and buttermilk.
Treatment involve antibiotics, anthelmintic, anti amoebic, and probiotics to improve gut health.
Please take care.
Good Luck.
