Frequent Numbness In Hands And Due To Specific Sleeping Position. Having Back Pain Also. Remedy?
Hi, I am getting numbness in my left hand . It happens on n off? Once it moved to my right hand too. A specific sleeping position of mine is also getting me numbness. I also had lower back pain , which made me think that my spinal chord is leading to numbness but the pain in the back too is shifting to waist side. I am 34. PleaSe advice me what should I do?
It seems you are suffering from a pathology in cervical spine which is causing numbness in your hands. Most common is Cervical Spondylosis. I would suggest you to take a Xray of your cervical and lumbar spine and proceed with MRI of cervical spine to see the degree of nerve compression. Discuss with your doctor.
Till that time, avoid taking pillows or use only thin pillows. Avoid driving two wheelers. Avoid sleeping or keeping your neck in particular posture. Intermittent Cervical Traction can help you temporarily, after discussing with your doctor. Sitting in right posture with frequent changing of postures while at work will help you ease the stress on your spine. Avoid leaning or bending forward your spine even for lifting any object.
