Frequent Periods After Getting On Implanon, Bleeding After Sex, Lower Stomach Cramps. Advice ?
Hi, I have had my implanon in for 5 months and had no period for 2 months. I then started getting periods every 13 days (approx). Im taking Ralovera for the bleeding which has helped. I also have experienced bleeding after sex which even with taking the Ralovera still continues occasionally. Ive had the usual symptoms like headaches, but ive also experienced feeling like i might vomit and lower stomach cramps. The main thing im concerned about is i suddenly got thrush recently and it is so uncomfortable. If anyone has any advice or answers it would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, Thanks for the query. Some amount of menstrual irregularity is common during usage of hormonal contraceptives and also after stopping the method also. But as you are having post coital bleeding and thrush, better to get examined. Consult gynecologist once and get examined to find out the possibilities like pelvic infection with cervical erosion, Post coital tear etc . Depending on the findings you can go for treatment. Take care.
