Frequent Urination. Suggested Hysterectomy. Any Other Options?
Hello i am having problem with constatly going back and fourth to the restroom. i went to the uroligist and he did a cystoscope. He told me that it may be coming from my uterus is pushing on my bladder it doesnt have the space capacity it needs and that was causing me to go back and fourth. He told me that the only thing that would fix this is hysterectomy. I sont want a hysterectomy.I am 30 no kids yet i do want kids. I was wondering are there any other alternatives.
Hello Thanks for your query. It sounds pretty radical - needing a hysterectomy for your problem. What you are experiencing is called urinary frequency , the frequent need to use the washroom. You might be having mild atony of the bladder or urethral muscles. A hysterectomy is rarely needed for this. Corrective surgery - plicating the bladder neck or strengthening the loosened muscles is enough. Please consult a gynecologist for the next step ahead. Take care.
