Frequent Urination, Brownish Discharge Before Periods Due, On Birth Control. Had Abnormal Pap Smear, Negative HPV. What's The Cause?
Hi. My stmptoms are complicated. I am on birtg control for 6 years now. Last year i had an abnormal pap smear but the biopsy for hpv came back negative. I am only having sex with my boyfriend of a year and a half. My period is two weeks away and i am having a brownish discharge and i am constantly peeing. Whats wrong? :-(
Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
Bleeding in between periods is never normal & always need investigations. You should see a gynecologist for evaluation.
I think your doctor must have told you to repeat the pap smear in 6 months after the abnormal result. I think you should go back to your gynecologist for a repeat smear test if you have not done it already.
I don't know on which birth control you are on but some hormonal methods may have the side effect of abnormal bleeding & if you are not taking your pills regularly you may have such bleeding.
For your frequent urination, I suggest you should perform urinalysis & show the results to a doctor & also check your blood sugar levels.
Hope you get well soon.
