Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My girlfriend seems to vomit pretty frequently (at least a couple times a month) the main causes of it is usually anxiety or sadness. Although she is normally a very happy and carefree person, I think sometimes her emotions get the best of her, however is the vomiting normal or should she see a doctor?
EMOTIONS LIKE ANXIETY AND SADNESS MAY AFFECT A PERSON TO SOME EXTENT DUE TO VARIATIONS IN THE HARMONE. IT MAY CAUSE STOMACHACHES, NAUSEA, VOMITTING AND SOME TIMES DIARRHOEA. FIRSTLY CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR TO RULE OUT ANY PHYSICAL CAUSES LIKE BACTERIA, VIRUS, ACID REFLUX ETC. SECONDLY TAKE MEASURES TO CONTROL ANXIETY AND STRESS BY AEROBIC EXERCISES AND YOGA THERAPY.
