Frequent Vomiting, Cannot Bend Over. Should I Be Concerned?

Hi, I am 27 years old, and have a lifelong tendency to vomit frequently. As a child, I threw up multiple times a day. I also projectile vomit on occasion. I usually don't feel very sick beforehand or afterwards. However, I've noticed that I can't bend over (for example, to tie my shoe) without throwing up. Should I be more concerned about this? Could it lead to other health problems?

Hi ! It is not normal to have regular vomiting like you have described in your history. You must consult your family physician/surgeon who apart from clinically examining you may go for some investigations like plain x ray chest to exclude a hiatal hernia, an ultrasound abdomen to exclude any intra abdomial pathology, and if need be an upper GI endoscopy to rule out a rare diverticulum of esophagus.
Wishing you an early recovery.
