Frothy Urine, Weakness In Legs And Hands After Urination. No Indigestion. What Is It?

Hi Doctor...

I am having froth in my urine for last one month and I feel very much weakness in my legs and hands specially after such urination. Sometimes urination quite ok I dont feel weakness then. My stomach is ok. I don't have any indigestion like symptoms. Then what is it? Is it something related to Sexual disease? What's shoud be the course of action? Pls guide.

My age is 32 years.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Froth in urine could be because of proteins excreted with urine as well as with any infection. This condition is clinically termed proteinuria.

I suggest you get urine routine and microscopy examination done.
Please also get your blood glucose levels checked in case you have a predisposition to diabetes.


If there is confirmed proteinuria, other causes of proteinuria must be evaluated.
