Generic Patches Normal If Impregnated With Estradiol That Is Adhesive Material. Patch That Meets Requirements?

My gynecologist prescribed vivelle patch and explained generic patches are ok IF the patch is impregnated with the estradiol throughout--ie., not a gel with adhesive material at the edges--and if it is designed for twice weekly application. I have inquired at the pharmacy with no assistance and my websearch has not been fruitful. Do you know of a generic estradiol patch that meets these requirements? Vivelle's patent is soon to expire and their minivelle is the same product, but is not generic

HI,
I feel there is some misunderstanding.
Generic medicines contain basic drug molecule,it is not branded & so it is cheaper. Where as Branded medicines are taken over by pharmaceutical company,marketed in form of combination to have added benefit. Naturally becomes costlier.
There are patches available in combination of two hormones / singular hormone form . Your doctor has asked for a patch having Estradiol only
Glue or adhesive material has to be there for putting the patch on.
