Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Few things were very important in this query, which you, did't mention.
Age,
sex,
From , how many day these symptoms were preset.
Any how ,
Two possibilities are there,
1 Fold in oesophagus , due to this patient can't swallow food or very less, if with the help of water.
As food stick in folded part and some portion enter into trachea ,hence patient develops
cough.
Treatment is only to consult a doctor/ ENT and with the help of oesophagoscope , this folded portion can be cured.
2 Achalasia of oesophagus,
In this case onset is onset is insidious and, more often than not, the patient seek relief only after symptoms have present for many years.
However you say that there is
vomiting , but no acidic test, you are right, this is actually not vomit but regurgitation of food and it contains mucus and froth.
For both conditions you have to consult a surgeon/ E N T specialist and get their opinion as physical examination is very important and will play a crucial in diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will help.
Best regards.
Dr. HET
