Getting Cracking Noise From Groin While Walking. What Could Be The Reason?

My groin on one side makes a cracking/ popping noise when I open my legs in a butterfly position. I feel it grind when I do this but it doesn t hurt, but it does hurt pretty badly whenever I run more than a quarter of a mile. Is the cracking and the pain related? Is there anything I can do to be able to start running long distances again. I ve taken a month off but still hurts even when I jog short distances.

Hi,

It is normal to have cracking and pain after stopping for a month your past activities. So, it will take some time until your body will get used of running long distances as before.

I suggest to start walking long distances, then, shifting to jogging then to running to avoid overload to your muscles.

All the best!
