Given Anamol After High Fever. Body Warm, Cough, Cold. Prescribed Maxtra, Levolin. Cranky, Not Eating. Solution?
My son (18 months) had a severe attack of fever a month ago (went upto 105 degress ) and had taken Anamol dossage and been given p250 to regulate it. Ever since that his body is always warm etc. Besides this since this monday his body seems hot and when temperature is taken he is normal but has a cold & cough but is not able to spit out the phlegm. Hence I have started him on Maxtra Antihistamine 0.5ml & levolin 2.ml respectively. Kinldy advice as he gets very cranky and does not even take liquids etc or eat normally.
In RTI babies are cranky, with poor appetite and usually febrile. Needs to be treated symptomatically for fever, running nose, cough etc.
To be effective, the doses of all the medicines like paracetamol. antihistamine decongestant and expectorant should be adequate according to the weight of the child. Lest they harm the child instead of benefiting.
Many times (Otitis Media) earache develops along with the RTI and causes child to be irritable and cranky.
Please consult the pediatrician for assessing the disease and optimizing the doses of medicines according to the weight of the child.
