Gonal Infection. Blood Reports Revealed Dominating Residual Follicles On The Left Side And Right Side. Dangerous For Husband?
Hi. Husband and I TTC and last cycle, I had gonal-f injections and was triggered by Ovidrel. I was negative and started my Day 1 Monday. I went in today (Tues) for bloodwork and ultrasound and they gave me results today that I had 4 dominating residual follicles on my left side and 3 on my right. Is this becuase they gave me too high of a dose with the injections? Is it dangerous for my husband and I to try and conceive if I actually ovulate on my own? Thank You
Hi, During induction of ovulation, it is possible to have hyper-stimulation of the ovaries and you seem to have had it. If you have natural ovulation, there is no harm in trying for natural conception unless your ages are advanced or there is some other reason. Please ask your doctor if it is possible to reduce the dosage prescribed for induction and also restrict to a single drug. Regular monitoring is always needed while on induction. Hope this helps.
