Got TIFFA Scan Done. Exact Meaning Of Abbreviations Needed
Good morning doctor my 19 weeks TIFFA scanning report was given below. I didnt understand the results especially the B.P.D., A.C., F.L., T.L., H.L., and U.L. what is the exact meaning or full forms for the previous discussed abbrevations.. My report was
B.P.D. : 4.5 c.m
A.C : 14.6 cms
F.L. : 3.1 cms
T.L. : 2.7 cms
H.L : 3.0 cms
U.L : 2.8 cms
B.P.D. : 4.5 c.m
A.C : 14.6 cms

The full forms of the abbreviations above are:
BPD = Bipareital diameter
AC = Abdominal circumference
FL = Femur length
TL = Tibia length
HL= Humerus length
UL = Ulna length
These are various parameters to assess the growth of your baby. They seem to be normal for your period of pregnancy (as per ISUOG charts).
