Got Back From Chalazion Removal Surgery. What Do I Need To Do Post Op? Do I Need To Hot Compress It? Make Up?
I just got back from chalazion removal surgery - my doctor didn't give me any post op directions - he wasn't event going to patch me but did a small patch and said I could take it off when I got home - but I still have it on . What do I need to do post op? Can I watch TV? Do I need to hot compress it? When can I wear make up?
I can't take the antibiotic drops because I might be allergic

I would like to answer your question and your satisfaction is my goal .
Chlazion surgery is a minor procedure and patch can be removed two hours after the surgery. Carefully remove the patch and apply ice compresses to your lid for 10 minutes using ice pack .The morning after your surgery, start using hot compresses. Hot packs will allow the chalazion to drain and are important to keep the chalazion from recurring. Perform hot packs three times a day, 10 to 15 minutes each time, for 5 days. You have also mentioned that you might be allergic to antibiotic eye drops , but you have not mentioned that you are allergic to which group of medicines . I would suggest you to discuss this with you eye doctor , who should prescribe you with any alternative antibiotic eye drops .
I hope you will fine my answer helpful .
Wish you a speedy recovery .
Good Luck .
Best regards .
