Got Fever After Swimming. Blood Test Done. Looking For Advice
Hi, I am 43; after swimming during the summer season I have got fever which was on medication but coming after 2-3 days of stoping the medicnes. I have done the Blood tests on doctors advise; have the following results mentioned as worrysome. RBC count 4.45; PCV/Haematocrit 39.2; ESR 47 Lipid prifle test has more negative reports as per doctor are S. Cholestrol - 242; s. Triglycerides - 241; S VLDL Cholestrol -48.2; Ratio of Cholestrol / HDL 5.4; kindly advice

You have not mentioned whether u are hypertensive and diabetic or not and the current medications you are taking for fever...Symptoms along with fever are not mentioned...In the blood tests , WBC count is not mentioned..so it is possible you might be having kind of infection and so u are getting fever..Antibiotic course might lay of fever...
Regarding your lipid profile, It is definitely abnormal, with cholesterol , And triglycerides being raised, there is no mention of LDL cholesterol which is bad one....Though the Chole to HDL chole ratio is normal i. e. 5.4 you should be taking statin therapy to lower your Bad cholesterol....and keep watch on Lipid profile every six months...
