Got Swelling And Bleeding After A Head Injury. What Should Be Done Now?
I fainted this morning after feeling like I was going to vomit after trying to get breakfast, on my fall I cracked my head open and there is a lot of swelling and bleeding. My head is very sore and my breathing feels quite restricted. I also have bruises on my left eyebrow and cheekbone. Moreover, there is a huge scar along the swelling after hitting my head off the side of my radiator. Is it okay for me to go to sleep?
Hi thanks for your question. You have so many injuries and you want to sleep. No you should not sleep, instead you should rush to ER.Get your self examined by a Doctor. You may need CT scan head to rule out any bleeding inside your brain. You have difficulty in breathing,it is quite possible that you may have injured your lung after fall and may have developed haemothorax( blood in chest) a condition more serious than head injury. Moreover cause of fainting has to be established. Hope this answers your question.
