Got Swollen Head While Suffering From Influenza. Anything Serious?

My 17 y.o. Daughter has had the influenza since early this week. Today she has been complaining of feeling like her head is swollen. She has not had a fever all day today or yesterday. She is the one person in our family who actually got the flu vaccine about a month ago. She seems to have gotten ht the worst with the bug.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
welcome to healthcare magic
i think the feeling of heaviness in the head is due to the illness itself because of running nose and nasal congestion the sinuses are congested making the head feel heavy,
i dont think there is anything serious going on once the illness will be cured the symptoms will disappear.
the vaccination doesnt cover all the strains so you can catch influenza but effects will be less compared to one who isnt vaccinated at all
hope to have answered your query
takecare.
