HOw Can Multiple Myeloma Be Treated?
I have had Multiple Myeloma IGg since 2001, had an autologous stem cell transplant at Univ. of MD cancer center & have been in remission since 2005. I am receiving Velcade IV, reduced maintenance dose, run over 15minutes, with no premeds. I have no negative side effects & have recently moved to Ocean City, MD...Rehoboth Beach, DE area & am tired of driving 4.5 hours to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD for my 15 minute infusion. I receive 4 treatments every 7- 8 weeks during my treatment cycle. My oncologist of 10 years won t help me find a local oncologist.Can you advise how to search for a qualified oncologist near my home. Thank you. Barbara Modderno 11/14/1951

You can make a list of nearby hospital and look for oncologists. Or you can find a name from oncological association website. Even your old oncologist can send you to his friend.
