Had Hernia Repair Surgery Done. Smoked Meth. Is This A Problem?

Hi I have surgery (hernia repair) on monday afternoon under a general anaeth and earlier tonight had a few (about 5) TINY smokes on a meth pipe (thurs eve) - I am talking the size of maybe half a pin head (max) for each one - there was a quarter gram bag and i havent even made a slight dent in the contents. I am generally fit and healthy with a good metabolism. Is this a problem?

Hi,

It is known that meth reduces the blood supply of different organs and so, may interfere with the healing of the wound. Although it is true that you took a very small amount, but then it is doubtful if you will be able to stop at that. Therefore, if you continue taking small amounts daily, the cumulative effects may be significant.

Hope this answers your query.

Best wishes.
