Had A Motorcycle Accident. Now Feel A Hard Lump On Bone, Numb. Is It A Matter Of Concern?
I was in a motorcycle accident about 3 weeks ago. I lost some of the sensation at the impact site below my knee. Especially on the skin. I feel a hard lump on my bone, it is fairly large (I'm 6 foot 4) the hard lump below where the skin is numb is approximately the size of a plate you would put under a cup of coffee. Should I be concerned?
Welcome to HCM. X-rays of the leg would help identify any bone damage.A local and neurological examination of the sensory and motor nerves by your doctor would help pinpoint the area of loss. The affected spinal nerve root in the lumbar area supplying the region may also be need to be imaged by a MRI Scan.It would be best to get the injury examined and investigated.
