Had A Traech Surgery, Blood Clot In Right Leg, Breathing Is Rapid But Kept On Ventilator. History Of Colonoscopy. Suggestion?
Hello;my wife is in the ICU on a ventilator,a traech has been done,2 weeks now.this is after surgery for a blood clot that caused her rt leg to have no circulation.the dr s and nurses are baffled by her,as her sedation and pain meds have been lessoned,but she won t wake up much,not today at all.her breathing is rapid,why she is on support.she has been through this before,3x s,has had many surgeries.she had a colonoscopy 2 wks prior to having a problem with her leg.might be time to look outside the box,thanks bill

Any patient who as undergone major surgery and bedridden are prone to develop arterial embolism.
You're wife has developed that complication.
In this case she has to be on heparin and blood thinners.
Now you can only wait and watch how the situation improves.
