Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
With great difficulty, I could understand the entire description.
I am not aware of the reason why your tibial fracture was managed with Plaster cast. Generally in adults, it takes around 16-24 weeks for a lower limb fracture to unite. So i think there is nothing wrong in waiting for few more weeks to see for fracture union.
The healing potential of a fracture differs from person to person and depends on many factors.
I suggest you to simply follow the advice given by your treating doctor.
Hope this helps
