Had An Arthroscopic Surgery On Knee, Overgrown Plica, Removed. Jogging Is Painful. See My Surgeon?

Hello, I had an arthroscopic surgery on my knee 8 weeks ago. It was primarily exploratory (physio and rest had not alleviated my post-activity pain). The surgeon found an over-grown plica and removed it. I have healed very well with 99% range of motion returned. I can swim, bike, squat, light jumps etc. However, there is a large (grape sized or bigger) lump under the medial incision scar. It hurts to touch and is rock hard. It does not appear attached to my patella which moves freely. However, jogging hurts. I am unsure if this is because I am only 8 weeks out of surgery, or if it is the scar tissue (I am assuming that is what the lump is). I have been vigilant with my PT, and icing. Admittedly, I may have started biking and light jogging too soon. A few times I ran through pain. I have wised up and stopped all activity other than swimming, biking, and PT. Massage therapy and ultrasound has not reduced the size of lump, and I fear it is getting bigger. I have attempted to book a follow-up with my surgeon. From my online readings I am afraid he will recommend another scope to remove the lump. Are there other options I should be aware of? Can I do anything to reduce the lump between now and the 1 month it will be until I see my surgeon?

Thank you

hello, thanks for you query
you need to continue resting your joint by avoiding exercise for now and also getting some pain relievers.
the ultimate is that you prepare for further evaluation by your surgeon.
thanks
